The Kerry Allan Available light Wedding Seminar

Kerry has become renowned for his unique ability to capture weddings with only available light, and this from a guy that used to be called Mr. Flash :)

"I found my style evolving as I shot more and more weddings" said Kerry. "I found that I preferred the softness of available light even without a reflector. The trick was to learn to see the light."

Never one to use a reflector anyway, Kerry continues to use only the light and reflective surfaces around him to create outstanding images. He'll even hand hold a camera as low as 1/15th sec to get the image he wants.

"Well, never say never in regards to a flash and reflector" says Kerry,  "Yes sometimes you have no choice, but I find if I keep my eyes open, there are more available light opportunities than you think."

Join Kerry on location in Toronto, ON. for this outstanding seminar. Models in complete wedding wear will be working in  dramatic outdoor locations at Toronto's historic Distillery District, as Kerry shows you how to find, see, and harness the light.

Seminar Location -
Toronto's Historic Distillery District

One of the trendiest areas of Toronto is the Historic Distillery District .

With wonderful cobblestone streets, old brick walls rich with texture and detail, and a host of tiny nooks and crannies that will make your wedding photos pop with excitement.

Reminiscent of old European cities, you can build images into your portfolio you can't get in any other way.

Our Models for the Shoot

Our Model Bride - Kayla

While holding auditions for this seminar, we looked at many potential models. But one girl came that really stood out. She was very quiet and reserved, but then proceeded to stun us all with her audition shoot.

Kayla is graced with beauty, charm and natural god given talent. She remains one of the best models I've worked with.

Take a look at the highlite slide show to the left.

Our Model Groom - Corey

I came to know Corey as a model late last year, and in just a few months he has catapulted himself to the top of the modeling scene.

He's full of talent, ability, compassion, and reliability. He is focused and has a clear path mapped out for himself. It's been a pleasure working with him, and I'm thrilled that he's joining us for the seminar.

Taking the pictures is only half the story

We know the deal. Post Production is the ability for us to make images sing and clients drop their jaw in amazement. And in the digital world this is more important than ever.

PSH Seminar Exclusive

This seminar includes a post production Webinar a couple of days after the shoot. You'll have the chance to learn how Kerry finishes the images off and gets them ready to present to the client. You'll even see how you can produce a computer or uTube video in just a few minutes, that will bring tears to your clients eyes.

Yes - You get Model Releases
Photography Schoolhouse Model Releases

Full Model Releases for each Photographer

Each model will provide a model release for each photographer allowing you to display or use the images you shoot in your portfolio or promotional materials.

What to Bring

Camera and lenses obviously. Everything from wide angle to telephoto is recommended. You may want a small on camera flash and hand held reflector as well.

We will be shooting outdoors so bring an umbrella and rain coat just in case. The shoot goes on, rain or shine. Real weddings happen in the rain and it's a different, but great look.

Why Photography Schoolhouse Seminars?
Photography Schoolhouse

Why are Photography Schoolhouse Seminars so Popular?

Because you shoot them.

Just as you can't learn to play the piano by sitting in a classroom and taking notes, you can't learn photography unless you hold the camera in your hand and take the picture.

Photography Schoolhouse's hands on learning approach has been so popular that people come back time after time.

Kerry believes, that you don't learn anything until you get up and shoot. With a confidant and skilled instructor to guide you along the way, you can acquire new skills in a fraction of the time. Instructor lead training with hands on experience has been proven over and over again to be the best way to learn a new skill.

The only Photo Seminars with Follow up Post Production Webinars included!

Here's another Photography Schoolhouse first.  All our PSH Seminars come with Post Production Webinars. After all, we all know that capturing the image is only the first step. We've got to work those images in post production to get the final results we've looking for.

That's why, Photography Schoolhouse Seminars come complete with post production Webinars a few days later. Now you can see first hand how you can finish off your images to compete with the pros.

Here's some feedback from our students:

... really looking forward to getting back in your classroom
I have been working with a handful of others, but your skills as a teacher are far better  Michael Knapp

Ummm...just three words....YOU ARE BRILLIANT!  -Gwen

This was awesome. Thank you for sharing such thorough lighting instruction. I've a lot to learn! - Mer

That was worth every cent and ounce of effort. Excellent job. I hoped Kerry had recorded himself saying you could shoot an entire wedding in one block, that was repeated over like 3-4 times. Excellent. Seeing the shot, the light, and composing in your head. 8 out of a possible 10 thumbs up! -  Michael

Kerry, photos are awesome, you couldn't have chosen a better model for this particular shoot. - Coral

My first exposure to Photography Schoolhouse and a great seminar! - Connie

I want to say to Kerry "wow!" I almost shot you shooting that shot and boy do I wish I had! When you're inducted into the hall of fame I could sell that photograph as the Master at work.

I will defiantly add that technique to all my practice shooting.  Your technique is either an acquired skill, or dumb luck. I happen to know it was planned and therefore skill. Great work. This goes into my favorite top ten shots ever!
