Default Hunter

An old picture of our Lab named Cody when he was 12 weeks old. Cody, passed away a year ago at 12 years old. He had a great life and he was a wonderful family companion.

We recently got a 2 1/2 year old Boxer that we named Kona. She's a rescue dog from a group called Boxer Luv Rescue. I'll post a photo of her when I think I have a good one.

Thanks for looking

Oh, too cute! Was he a hunter, or were those just props that you were using? It's so hard when you loose them!
Hope to see Kona soon.

He was supposed to be our bird hunting dog but at 6 months old we found out he had Hip Dysplasia in both hips. He had corrective surgery, but he couldn't jump at all. His hips were always weak but at least he had a normal life as a result of the surgery. So to answer your question. He was better at hunting chew toys than birds.

About the picture? We had the props already so I built the set just for the shot. Very easy to do. Built it out of old wood fencing.

L O V E this!! LOVE LOVE LOVE . . . it's always nice to see an animal posed with the tools of their trade!! They have jobs too and I love that you have him surrounded by what he would have loved to be doing if he could . . .
Bad hips are a bummer for a dog but it looks like he had a good life with you!!!

Beautiful dog! Very nice shot! I really wish that I could build my own props and sets, but I am a little handy work challenged.
